Hi folks! I'm at it again. I'm going for another 20 pound loss in ten weeks. I've recently had another baby, a little girl, she is now five months old and I'm ready to drop some weight.

Today's challenge: After the church Christmas play, they served cookies and a drink. I had three items. I didn't finish all the cake ( I did the frosting, however.) and the chocolate chip cookie was the bomb. I felt like I was controlled at this event. I knew I'd use my 200 calorie mid-morning snack for these treats. I was estimating, but I felt I did well on that too. Also, had a toasted Subway sweet onion chicken teriaki sub. Wow. Think I've found a rival to those Jimmy John's subs.
Actual fitness: none. Plan on doing some abs tonight yet.
Note on knees: They still hurt. However, the concern I had over my left knee still being an open wound after seven days of healing time....when I took the band aid off today, I could see that the two wounds had finally started scabbing over. Thank God. Maybe after a few days, I can try going swimming to burn some calories.
As for the pain in my right knee, I googled "contusion to knee" and found out that it can definitely take longer than a week to heal. So, I will continue to do my arm work-outs this week and test out the knee here and there to see if it's ready to be used. And wait.
Note on picture: After we got home from church today, my husband snapped a few pictures. I liked this one in black and white. I curled my hair again today, but tried to get it done more quickly so that it wouldn't take so long.

  1. That is a great photo. You photograph well and I love black and white pics. There is just something about them.

It has to be frustrating about the knee, but I'm glad to hear it is scabbing over and healing. As a girl with extensive experience with open wound recovery, it does take longer than you think, but once it starts, it moves along quickly.

  3. Hooray for scabs!

Now that isn't something I say to just anyone, ya know. ;)

Oh yeah, with the force you hit - you could be feeling it for a few weeks actually.

I know it is hard to take it easy since you are usually the workout queen, but you'll be okay. I bet swimming will feel great once you're ready.

    Take care!
