Hi folks! I'm at it again. I'm going for another 20 pound loss in ten weeks. I've recently had another baby, a little girl, she is now five months old and I'm ready to drop some weight.

Today's challenge: continue counting glasses of water. I drank eight to ten 8 oz glasses of water yesterday. Yeah!

Actual fitness: five mile run

Note on picture: I finally had some salad last night. If you follow what I eat, you may notice I haven't been getting enough greens in. The only problem with last night is that I got carried away on the croutons. But, man, were they good! Next to the salad is pictured the Stove Top chicken dish that I make that's super easy to prepare, but I haven't figured out the calories on it yet.

More info on tooth: I actually called my dentist yesterday because of tooth pain on a pain level of 5 with 10 being the worst ever. After I got off the phone with her, it went up to a 6 maybe 7. Still refused to take codeine. Then, after I took some Ibuprofen, it went away. It hasn't come back since. So, we're scheduling a root canal as of right now.

  1. The containers of hummus at the grocery store have about 80 calories per serving. A serving is 2 tablespoons, but then you have to factor in the pita or chips.

    I buy mini pita rounds, they are 100 calories a piece.

    To make your own just put the garbanzo beans, juice of 1 lemon, cumin, paprika, roasted red pepper (if you like), tiny bit of olive oil, and garlic in the food processor.

  2. Careful with those croutons. They'll kill all the nutritional value of the salad. A lot of restaurant salads are so loaded with cheese, croutons and fatty dressing that they're much worse for you than a regular entree.

  3. my teeth do the same thing. hurt hurt hurt and then one day, just stops. course i still go in for the scheduled appointment and get it worked on, so i'm sure it would come back if i didn't.
