Today's challenge: not snacking. I was doing some really bad snacking yesterday if you had read my food diary. I think my only redemption for yesterday was the fact that I didn't eat anything after supper. Can NOT be snacking like yesterday.
Planned Fitness: 60 minute back and bicep workout
abdominals
2 mile run.
Note on picture: I literally measure my oatmeal separately from the oatmeal I make for the rest of the family in the morning. This ensures that I don't put more in my bowl than 1/2 a cup, otherwise I'll have a tendency to put more in. However, on weekends, if I'm not cooking breakfast I will estimate my oatmeal portion. So, two bowls and also two pans different pans to cook oatmeal every day. I like knowing "for sure" what I'm eating.
Snacking is a problem for me too. Greg eats a lot more unhealthier than myself. And if I am hungry, I always reach for his stuff rather than my own. When I come home from work I am usually so hungry that I grab whatever is easiet. I need to find some easy on the go snacks (that don't cost a lot) that maybe I could eat on my way home. Hmm.
ReplyDeleteGood luck not snacking today.
I don't mind snacking if I'm HUNGRY and eating something healthy.
ReplyDeleteBut far too often it's just recreational eating, and that's really not a good reason to snack!
Personally I'm okay with snacking; but I agree with crabby, only a controlled healthy snack. Constantly keeping your goal on track. Love ya DAD
ReplyDeletei like to know for sure what i am eating too! hard to do when you are eating dinner at someone else's house, but i try to keep my portions small in those cases.
ReplyDeletesnacking is always tough. on one hand i like having a few things around just in case i need a snack - but then i might end up over doing it. then again, if i don't have a few safety snacks around i might end up splurging and visiting the vending machine. (and when is a vending machine ever a healthy option?)
