Today's challenge: There a lot going on today...so trying to fit in my work-out. I couldn't get in my arm work-out yesterday, so hopefully today it will happen.

Planned fitness: 60 minute bicep and back work-out, 4-mile speed work-out. 1-mile warm-up, with block and a-half increases and 1/2 block decreases, 1-mile cool-down. my abdominal routine once.

Note on picture: My husband, of eight years today, brought me home gifts of food last night. The cupcakes are for the kids, the Mallo Cup is for me, and we are suppose to share this gigantic piece of German chocolate cake. I LOVE Mallo Cups, so, I'll maybe substitute one of these with my usual banana with my protein drink. The cake...well, I'm not actually a German chocolate cake fan, maybe I'll have a bite. Maybe my dad just needs to come over and eat my portion. :) He love German chocolate cake.

Note on no weight loss: Am thinking of changing things up again for my diet since the scale seems to be stuck at this number.

Do You Know What Today Is?

Good morning, everyone!

Do you know what day today is?

Today is the very reason I went on a diet and started this blog. It is the day I married my husband, Daddy Rainmaker, eight years ago!

As you can see from the picture...I loved to goof around, then, and I still do now.

Of course, I'll never look as good now as I did on that day (who does? :))...but I will say that I look and feel pretty darn good today...eight years later.

So, about three months ago, before I even had a diet blog, I decided I was going to go on a diet, so I could look good for this very day. I mentioned in my "Our Darling Kids" blog that I was going to start a diet blog. And if anyone was curious, they could follow along. Hey, Sunshine Meg, thanks for taking the time to read two of my blogs instead of just one.

It's been so fun since I started this diet blog. I get to share with you all one of my greatest passions, which is fitness...working out, feeling good...

Actually between the two blogs...I would have to say...ok, I won't say it. But I am wearing a pretty big smile right now.

Since I started my diet, I've lost 22 pounds. I am so happy about my body right now. My husband and I are going away for the weekend next weekend without the kids. And, no, I'm not going off my diet...at least I don't plan to right now.:) I still have that niggling ten pounds I want to lose.

Anyway...thank you all for being a part of this journey. Just like when we got married eight years ago...it's not over. This journey is just beginning. I look forward to continuing to share with you about my fitness plans, and also to listen to you about yours.

For those of you who want to see the serious wedding photos, I've posted about 20 to my "Our Darling Kids" blog.

Maybe this will give Lindsey and Sunshine Meg some ideas.

  2. Happy Anniversary!

Enjoy your weekend sans kids...I am SO looking forward to our's later this month. ;)

Okay, fill me in - what is a Mallow cup? Is it a peanut butter cup like Reeses or something different?
I just realized I could have Googled it but oh well. lol

Who knows on the weight. Look at me - stayed the same, gained half a pound & then lost 3lbs. Crazy, crazy, crazy. I do think mixing up the food is never a bad idea. Maybe try something new?

    Best wishes,
    Lynn
