Join Me For Another 10 Weeks! This is the first week of ten weeks starting October 22, 2012

Hi folks! I'm at it again. I'm going for another 20 pound loss in ten weeks. I've recently had another baby, a little girl, she is now five months old and I'm ready to drop some weight.

Eleven Weeks Along today...Thought I Felt Something...

Happy April Fools everyone!

But I'm not going to play any April Fools jokes. I could say I'm pregnant like Sarah at Let Them Eat Lettuce did, but I don't think that would work. But, I will say that I am 11 weeks along today, and this morning, I thought I felt a little fluttering in my lower abdomen. And I am not kidding about that.

In my last pregnancy, I felt the baby kick at 13 weeks. And just to prove it I had my husband put his hand there and he felt it too. So, I wouldn't be at all surprised if I'm feeling something now. I think that with each pregnancy I began to feel movements and flutterings earlier and earlier. With my first pregnancy, I didn't feel anything until I was five months along.

Well, I tried to get a nap in today but couldn't fall asleep because I began thinking of all the things I need to do this weekend. So, I am really, really dragging right now.

Here's a picture of my breakfast oatmeal topped with three Brazilian nuts that I chopped up by hand.
Oh, here I already had a few bites.

Breakfast with my "matching" collection of bowls. LOL!

Here's some salad I made but only took a few bites of.

Some more potato topped with olive oil. Then, chicken and Mrs. Dash's zesty garlic herb marinade sauce.

Our 14-year-old daughter is into eating healthy and put together this little plate with egg whites, brown rice, carrots and celery.

When I was doing dishes, this caught my attention.
My favorite red cup with a one of the new bowls that my husband picked up at Wal Mart last night. It's funny, but he's the one who buys the dishware around here. The kids are always breaking dishes and cups and so we can never have anything that really matches.
But, now this....red, white and blue...why those are our wedding colors.
After my leg work-out tonight, I mixed up a scoop of chocolate protein powder, eight ounces of water and four ice cubes in the blender...

To get this. 110 calories.
Doesn't it look refreshing?
I also had a warm bowl of oatmeal with it.
My husband also bought this new glass last night too.
He said that it was made in Mexico and added,
"At least it wasn't made in China."
I'm liking this new glassware,
It's thicker than the last few glasses he got.
----------------------------------------------------------
Today was a beautiful day again. I've been walking around in shorts and a tank top.
I just love the balmy feel of weather like this.
It seems like I have been spending months and months waiting for warmer weather that has finally arrived...wait, I have been waiting months and months for this weather. Ha, ha.
But I'm so excited, because that means we've basically got April, May, June, July, August, September and mostly October...count 'em seven months of nice weather. Not freezing your butt off weather, but civilized weather. Where I can throw the kids in the car to go somewhere and not feel like I'm preparing them for the blizzard of the century. Ok...sorry to get carried away...it's just that I'm so excited it's nice.
Oh, and seven months is about how much longer I will be pregnant too. I get to walk around in cute pregnant summer outfits with a cute pregnant belly. I get to wear my cute pregnant swimsuit swimming because of course I may get a tad hot in July and August and need to go swimming in the wading pool in our back yard. Anyway...
Weight update:
My weight was up a little this morning. In fact it was up the highest it's been since I've been pregnant. By 4/10 of a pound. But, don't worry, I'm not freaking too bad. Said in a lower voice...."After all I am pregnant."
Lately I've been adding more salt to my chicken when I eat it, so I wonder if there is some water retention going on. I also ate more than I should have yesterday.
Push-up Work out
I did do a push-up work out today. My first eight sets were 38, 38, 45, 45, 38, 38, 34, 34, which is a total of 310. Then, I was trying for between 105 and 110 push-ups on my ninth set, but I stopped at 84 for a push-up total of 394, which was the total amount that I did two days ago.
I may have been able to eek out one more push-up, but didn't.
I thought..hey, I am pregnant. Give me a break!
Ha, Ha.

It's about Friday folks...
I may have a little surprise for you all tomorrow....
And, no, it's not that. I can't tell if the baby is boy or girl for another seven weeks...
It's this little idea I had about a way to make Fridays extra special...
I know, like they need any help all by themselves...
Until then, have a good one!
You can do it!
Sincerely,
Sunshine Mama

  2. I have never had fruit in my salad before. The thought of fruit and veggies mixed just doesn't appeal to me yet ours looks good.

Can't wait to see what you have to say about Fridays!

  3. That does look refreshing. I have always wanted to try and make healthy smoothies for breakfast but there was an incident once with the blender and a wooden spoon...

Yeah, it wasn't pretty. Perhaps I should just get over my fear and try again.

Love the dishes. That is funny your husband is the only one who picks them out and that you ended up with your wedding colors. We somehow manage to break dishes around here to, but don't have an rugrats running around. Just yesterday I opened the dishwasher to a broken glass.

Anyways, Momma D is here! She is still sleeping, but I have the day off and I am going to show her all around where we live. We are going to a cooking class tomorrow in Virginia with her 3 other sisters and all of my girl cousins! Hope you have a great weekend with your family too = )

  4. Love your food pictures! Everything looks yummy. Watching your weight gain while being pregnant would be strange for me. I gained a ton of weight with both of my boys (too much), but I was high risk both times and wasn't allowed to do any exercise (not even short walks) while I was pregnant. Gosh, just imagine how good you will feel during this pregnancy because you are making such healthy choices. It almost makes me want to have another baby. HA! HA! Just kidding, no it doesn't. :)
