It's about Thursday, which means it's about Friday, which means it's almost the weekend. Can you feel the excitement in the air?
You all amused me with telling me what box of cereal you'd be if you could be one. I think Quaker Oats Squares won out. The only one who didn't want to be a box of cereal was Kyle. He wanted to be a roll of toilet paper. I'll let you read back on his comment for his explanation on that one. Ha. Ha. But it did make me laugh.
We developed another different kind of omelet today which I'm sure you all will want to copy. But first how about another picture of oatmeal with one my new bowls? By the way, my husband was the one who picked out ALL of my new dishware for my blog.
Tell me he isn't the bomb...or that he IS the bomb?
You know what I mean.
Lately I've been really looking forward to him coming home for lunch...
because of this....
This time with the left over taco meat from the tacos I made last night...
And then with cheese.
His side of the omelet got onions because I don't like onions.
He used five whole eggs.
He used five whole eggs.
Here it is turned over.
And onto my plate....
New plate that is.
If you guys aren't drooling, you should be
because this tasted spectacular!!
Taco omelets are AWESOME!!
And since eggs have that breakfast food feel to them,
why not have some of this with it?
A nice cold glass of orange juice.
Photographed in natural light.
Oh, hey, where did this come from?
I contemplated putting this as my top picture because it just looks sooo pretty.
The Schwan's guy stopped by yesterday and I bought some Rocky Road ice cream.
This is probably a little over 150 calories.
I should photograph the ice cream my son bought.
Triple lemon yogurt ice cream.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Well, good news.
I didn't go as overboard eating today as I did yesterday.
Keeping track of my calories is helping me be more aware.
Also, I had a GREAT time at the gym today.
The new schedule is wonderful because It allows me more time in the gym to get everything done that I want to get done.
As long as I don't talk to too many people, I get mostly everything done.
So, today, I did four sets of sit-ups, my triceps and chest work-out, four sets of pull-ups of, 4,4,4,and 3 for a total of 15 unassisted pull-ups.
I've noticed I can't do as many pull-ups which may be because I've gained weight.
But..I will be working on that...the doing more pull-ups thing.
I also did 20 minutes of cardio on the elliptical machine
------------------------------------------------------
One huge thing I've noticed since I've been working out at the gym more regularly is that I'm in a better mood and I seem to have more energy and I think more clearly.
It's been wonderful.
As it sits, I'm planning on continuing to hit the gym five days a week for two hours a time up until the baby is born.
The two hour time slot is more so that I don't feel rushed when I'm working out and that I have enough time to do what I want to do.
Believe me, I'm not being hard core for two straight hours.
I also fuel with a banana about half way through.
--------------------------------------------------------
Well, it's almost midnight here, so I better hit the sack!
Have a nice Thursday!
Sincerely,
Sunshine Mama

Good job on everything! It all looks awesome and tasty :)
ReplyDeleteNothing is worse then feeling rushed at the gym. You are smart to allow yourself plenty of time.
ReplyDeleteThat omlet had me at hello! I want you half, because I don't like onions either. Your husband should add expert omlet maker to his resume. I consider that a great thing to be able to do. Ha! Your new dishes for your food shots are too great. They make the food look even tastier.
Happy Thursday to you and your family. Hope you have a great eating day = )
Well...you know me...I zig when others zag.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how spending time working out energizes us and makes use feel better about life. I think I better go work out...feeling kinda down!
ReplyDeleteWow. 2 hours at the gym is great! I am finding it hard to do anything in the gym that isn't Zumba. I have only gone once this week. So not feeling it.
