Join Me For Another 10 Weeks! This is the first week of ten weeks starting October 22, 2012

Hi folks! I'm at it again. I'm going for another 20 pound loss in ten weeks. I've recently had another baby, a little girl, she is now five months old and I'm ready to drop some weight.

Conquering The World...One Mistake At A Time

Hi everyone!
How are you doing today?
After yesterday's post I was ready to conquer the world. I think I started the day on the right foot. But right around lunch time...things began to unravel a little.
I did end up taking a nice much needed nap this afternoon. My one consolation about not staying true to my diet was that I ended up eating a large quantity of cereal and milk...like healthy cereal. Then there were a few other things I ate that I shouldn't have...but it looks like it's back to the drawing board again tomorrow.
I did work out tonight with our 14-year old daughter. So, I have that going for me. Ha...I know this isn't funny but I hate coming here and citing a failed eating attempt. But I do think today was progress in the right direction because I was successful for the first half of the day. LOL! (Hey, I have to find the good where I can right?)
I have a plan for tomorrow where I would like to cook up some food ahead of time so that it's prepared and ready for me to eat. That way I can just grab my food and eat it.
On a happy note, the hospital called me today and the ultrasound has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 18. That's when we'll be able to get an ultrasound look at the baby and see if it's growing the way he or she should be growing. And, also, hopefully we'll find out if it's a boy or a girl.
Even though I got a nap, I'm still feeling pretty tired right now. It was a beautiful day outside. It went into the 80s. Definitely shorts weather. And don't worry I haven't eaten myself out of looking good in a pair of shorts. Ha. Ha! I know you were all worried about that.
Thanks again for all of your kind comments.
We're getting close to Friday. Oh, you know what happens on Friday? Besides Fantasy Food Friday? It's our daughter's birthday. She turns 15. Maybe I should take a picture of her birthday treat. She didn't want cake for her birthday so we are making up something else. You'll never guess what it is. And actually her birthday treat would fit into my fantasy food friday because I used to make these all the time.
Ok...I talked myself into it. I'll use her treat for Fantasy Food Friday.
Well...I think I'm calling it a day!
Good night all!
Sincerely,
Sunshine Mama

  1. that darn slippery slope! you can get back on track, you are strong! at least you aren't taking the easy road and just blaming it on hormones, pregnancy, etc :) and cereal - you could've done a lot worse of course. i wonder if allowing yourself to think about fantasy foods so much is being a bad influence? just a thought...

(sorry i've been "mia". for some reason when i try to comment when reading on my phone it never posts my comment and just erases it instead... kinda frustrating cause i dont want to re-type on that stupid little keyboard) so, sorry!

  2. Sunshine Mama, you are doing good. Slipping up a little shows your human. You got in a workout and that is half the battle. Good for you! Your breakfast looked as good as ever. Waking up to that each day, would be worth it to me. Those are all of my favorites in that picture. You made a good point at my blog yesterday about the good food that is cheaper.

Happy early birthday to Darling Rose. I can't wait to see what her treat may be. She must be getting excited.

Thanks for your email. The neck surgery sounded terrifying. I couldn't believe it. But, it meant a lot to me and to Greg and I knew you all would help in prayer. I appreciate it more than you know. Hope you have a great day and good luck with your diet, but don't beat yourself up for something minor - keep your head focused and keep moving forward.

    One step at a time...

  6. We had a gorgeous day today too, but it's not supposed to last into the weekend. Boo!

Have fun with the birthday girl. Personally, I find these girls gets a little tricker to figure out once they hit 15!
