I Dropped Two More Pounds

Hi everyone!

I don't have a lot of time before the library closes, but I did want to share with you all the good news.

I stepped on the scale this morning and saw that I had dropped another two pounds. At first, I wasn't sure if it was right. So, I recalibrated it a little...yep, two pounds...then moved it to another spot on the floor to make the sure the surface was flat...but sure enough...two pounds...

G-O-N-E !!!!

In fact, I think my cheap scale was wavering a little towards a third pound, but I'm playing it safe and reporting this as a solid two pound loss.

Quite honestly, I was beginning to wonder if I was going to lose any more weight at all. I'm in uncharted territory with this diet being so healthy and clean that I'm not sure what my body will do. I knew that after that initial four pound loss, I'd have to wait a bit to see another loss. But I was beginning to think it wasn't going to happen.

I even checked out my body's metabolic rate to see where I was at and how many calories I needed to maintain my current weight and what kind of caloric deficit I was creating. According to my figures, I was definitely creating a deficit. In fact, I still am.

You never know that third pound may drop before Monday.

What's also interesting is that I'm not really hungry with this diet. I just fantasize about food is all. Ha, ha...yep, that's all.

I was able to get online on my computer yesterday and even tried to make a post titled "Healing in the air", but then half way through... my computer stopped letting me type. So, I'm like...there's no healing here. This is called intermittent failure. Some times this works and some times it doesn't. So, I'm at the library tonight to make sure I can post.

I was even able to visit a few blogs but the typing wasn't working right. Anyway, we have a call out to the "computer doctor". Once he comes to visit, Sunshine Mama might be getting her very own laptop. Wouldn't that be nice?

So, how is everyone doing? Sticking to your plans? Working out?

Thanks for all your compliments on the 200 push-ups I did. My husband and I have some push-ups tonight to do and then the 100 push-up challenge is scheduled for this Sunday. My husband wants to delay it until Valentine's Day instead of our 100 Month wedding anniversary. I'm not sure. I'm kind of leaning toward doing it on our 100 month anniversary.

What do you think we should do?

Well, it's almost Friday, almost the weekend. Hope your all having a good one!

  1. I'm not a fan of Valentine's Day and would opt to celebrate the 100 month anniversary instead.

Congrats on the weight loss. What have I vowed for myself towards weight loss - workout everyday during the month of February (kick away the winter blahs), got a pedometer and am attending Weight Watcher meetings (not just going and getting weighed in).

I saw this and immediately thought of you: https://www.bluebunny.com/iScreamTeam/Coupons/Coupons.aspx

  3. I am saying go with the 100 month. I love that you two celebrate each month. Very romantic. It's your tradition and what better way to hit number 100!?

Well, Sunshine Mama - no sunshine here in crab country. We are predicted to get 18-26 inches of snow... again! Oh boy. Don't worry we have the necessities and are all ready to bunker down for the weekend. Hope you are all warm and safe in cheese country.

  5. I vote for day 100 too!! That way you'll always be able to tell people you did 100 pushups on month 100. =)

Yes, still sticking with the plan and working out! And seeing weight loss, although slower. Guess that's how it is towards the end though, huh. Keep up the good work - VERY cool to see a 2-pound drop, that's awesome!!!!
