Join Me For Another 10 Weeks! This is the first week of ten weeks starting October 22, 2012

Hi folks! I'm at it again. I'm going for another 20 pound loss in ten weeks. I've recently had another baby, a little girl, she is now five months old and I'm ready to drop some weight.

Happy Thursday! I Found Some Positive

Happy Thursday folks!
Are you hanging in there?

Yesterday I talked about trying to find the positive in situations when it comes to getting through the first several weeks of this weight loss/fitness journey.

Today it occurred to me that sometimes taking the spotlight off ourselves and focusing it on others may just be another remedy for making the time fly faster.

Take me for example. I have plenty of kids to focus on in my life. And catching a snapshot of Mr. Lovely sucking his thumb...well, that just makes me very happy. Very positive. Ha!

How about another angle?

Can you believe he's ten weeks old today?
I didn't even weigh him.
He might be 12 pounds by now.

Ahh...so anyway,

I think good conversations with friends, helping others, doing some deep cleaning organizations...other things that make you feel good...may just help you feel a little more in balance with the whole "waiting-for-the-next-ten-weeks-to-go-by-while-I-drop-this-weight-feeling".

I mean... who wants moments like this to go by fast?
Make your moments today count!

Have a good one!
Sincerely,
Sunshine Mama

Today, I ran 2 1/2 miles, got in a 45 minute leg work-out and got in 1,848 calories. Oh, and I actually gained 4/10 a pound. So, now it's 6 1/2 pounds lost in ten days.

  1. He is definitely Mr. Lovely. My thoughts on the thumb sucking are: if it quietens him down, there's no harm (both my daughters sucked theirs until they were 9 and 12 - when they slept that is - they're 20 and 16 now).....it's a way of self-calming....and way better than having to get up umpteen times in the night because they've lost their soother! Neither of my girls had soothers, they had thumbs instead.

    Keep the positive going!!!!

  2. Wow!! That is all that I can say. When it comes to fitness I think you still outdo me & you have a 10 week old. What a inspiration!

  3. He is looking older. I can't believe he is already 10 weeks. Time has flown. Looking at that little face must be an extreme positive for you. Thanks for all the encouragement this week. I'm already feeling more like myself and excited for the Packers this weekend.

Please pass along a thank you to your kind husband for his visit over at Sunshinemeg. What a nice surprise! Greg is already getting nervous for the game and has watched so much sports coverage of the game. We bought lots of veggies to cut up and have some leftover turkey chili for game day!

Enjoy your weekend with your family and thanks again for everything = )
